We decided to marry in the small town of Leavenworth Washington.

Picking a date was easy.......the local Oktoberfest was occuring on the weekend of October 14th

Once we had a place and a time, the rest just planned itself!

 

We arrived in Leavenworth Thursday night. We gathered for a party, so families could get to know each other.

Our hopes for a sunny weekend were squashed after a forcast of mostly cloudy days ahead.

You can imagine our surprise when we awoke to a perfect Friday.

 

Friday was full of sunshine, and we all had a chance to explore the town, but Saturday came quickly.

Karen looked beautiful, as her father walked her up the steps.

The ceremony was perfect.

From the town center we were off to the reception at Oktoberfest.

It was quite a turnout, without sending a single invitation.

The magical day ended with an excellent dinner, and of course, the Cake and the Toast!
